We are seeking a talented and driven Lead MERN Stack Web Developer with a strong foundation in: Next.js, Tailwind CSS, Git, and CI/CD methodologies; conversational English; critical thinking skills; and proof of one application that you designed and developed end-to-end.

An individual willing to own the success or failure of a project on a timeline, who will thrive in a fast-paced startup environment. We are seeking another technical co-founder for our innovative AI startup. This could be a primary or secondary job for you. Your work will be automatically monitored and you must actively track at least 40 hours per week and achieve weekly outcomes. Stock options and vesting will be rewarded based on achieving planned outcomes. Bonuses will be rewarded based on revenue.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - You must provide examples of each

Critical Thinking: participate in discovery, planning, and implementation interviews with customer business buyers and company executives; ask open-ended and tactical questions; listen to business and technical problems, processes, and procedures; analyze and objectively evaluate conversations and information; design, test, and measure solution scenarios.

Full MERN Stack Development: Architect and implement robust frontend components using React.js and Next.js, and seamless backend solutions using Node.js, Express.js, and MongoDB.

Modern UI Design: Utilize Tailwind CSS proficiency to create aesthetically pleasing, responsive, and efficient user interfaces that align with design principles.

API Design and Development: Develop well-structured RESTful APIs to power seamless interactions between the frontend and backend systems.

Version Control Mastery: Expertise in Git for effective code management, branching, merging, and conflict resolution.

CI/CD Implementation: Contribute to the setup and maintenance of continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines to streamline development workflows and ensure code quality.

Testing and Debugging: Design comprehensive test cases (unit, integration) and expertly troubleshoot issues to ensure application stability.

Collaboration and Best Practices: Effectively collaborate within a cross-functional development team, adhering to coding standards and actively contributing to knowledge sharing.

QUALIFICATIONS

Core MERN Expertise: (3+) years of proven experience building web applications using MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js. (1+) application developed end-to-end.

Next.js Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Next.js concepts (server-side rendering, routing, API routes, data fetching). (1+) application developed end-to-end.

Tailwind CSS Mastery: Strong understanding of utility-first CSS principles and the ability to build complex layouts efficiently with Tailwind CSS.

Git Fluency: Excellent command of Git workflows, collaboration techniques, and branching strategies.

CI/CD: Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts and familiarity with related tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI, etc.)

Problem-Solving Mindset: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex technical problems independently.

Independent & Team Player: Ability to thrive in both an independent and a collaborative environment with UI designers, product managers, and other developers.
