Preferred Background: Retired Army Officer with extensive experience as a CORP Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning and development efforts for all sites within the organization.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of engineering projects, ensuring they meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to develop comprehensive project plans and timelines.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project teams, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, cost estimates, and risk assessments for proposed projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Manage project budgets and resources effectively to ensure the timely completion of projects within allocated resources.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and addressing any issues or delays proactively.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in engineering and project management, integrating them into project plans and processes as appropriate.
  • Liaise with regulatory agencies and other relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Drive innovation and process improvement initiatives within the Planning & Development department to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Retired Army Officer with extensive experience in engineering and project management roles, particularly as a CORP Engineer.
  • Professional engineering licensure or certification preferred.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve project goals.
  • Strong technical expertise in planning, design, and implementation of engineering projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
