Journalist

Topspot Media is at the forefront of innovative social media content creation, with a focus on the worker niche. We are seeking a Journalist with a flair for investigation, research, and storytelling to join our team as a Video Shoot Permissions Coordinator. This unique role combines journalism with field coordination, requiring the successful candidate to research, negotiate, and secure permissions for video shoots in various locations across Lahore.

Responsibilities:

Use journalistic research skills to identify potential video shoot locations that align with our content themes.
Conduct interviews and gather information from local businesses, factory owners, and shopkeepers to secure permission for filming.
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in potential shoot locations.
Prepare reports on potential shoot locations, including any relevant historical, cultural, or social context.
Work closely with the production team to ensure legal compliance and logistical feasibility for each shoot.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
Proven experience in journalism or related roles, with a strong portfolio of work.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong investigative and research abilities.
Knowledge of legal requirements related to media production and copyright laws.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with the Lahore area and willingness to travel extensively.
