Introduction
WaterAid is an international non-governmental organization. Our mission is to transform lives by improving access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) in the world’s poorest communities. WaterAid works by helping local organizations and governments to set up low cost and sustainable WASH solutions that can be managed by the community itself. WaterAid also seeks to influence the policies of other key organizations, such as governments, to secure and protect the right of poor people to safe, affordable water and sanitation services.
Job Purpose
The Campaign Manager will be responsible for overall development management and updating and review of the national campaign for behaviour change that aims to prompt masses as well as authorities, to enhance their knowledge, attitudes and practices related to safe drinking water, sanitation and hygiene that will contribute to save lives and improve the health and wellbeing of communities in Pakistan. The position is based in Islamabad for a period of 10 months, with likelihood of continuation. .
The Campaign Manager will be able to demonstrate an understanding of campaign issues and approaches. The Campaign Manager will be highly motivated self-starter with the initiative to take forward the main objectives of the campaign.
Key Working Relationships
The Campaign Manager would be coordinating with the Campaigns Advisory Committee, Core Group and media firms and ensuring that the Campaign is implemented according to the agreed standards and timelines. Coordinating with relevant staff of the Campaign partners including UNICEF, Plan Pakistan, key government departments at federal and provincial level and key sector stakeholders.
Internally the Campaign Manager will coordinate with Manager Urban Programme, Manager Rural Programme, Manager BCC, Manger Finance, Manger Quality Assurance & Fund Raising, Communication Coordinator and other relevant staff of WaterAid in Pakistan for smooth implementation of the Campaign.
