The M&E Associate provides technical support and services in managing the project-wide database/indicator tracking system and assists M&E Manager in establishing and institutionalizing the data/documentation practices in TFP. She/he maintains up-to-date and accurate project spreadsheets and databases;  input data from collection instruments, reports and project records; and conduct field visits to collect data (as instructed by the M&E Manager), verify and confirm data and information. To accomplish these responsibilities, the Associate will have to be or become familiar with USAID planning, M&E and reporting procedures in order to work effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage participants and training information using Microsoft Access database for effective tracking of Project indicators.
  • Assist in developing, revising and administering data collection tools for training participants, using online platforms such as Google Docs.
  • Responsible for data entry, updating, troubleshooting and technical tasks associated with ongoing development of project database and spreadsheets.
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of data on TraiNet, PakInfo and the Project database.
  • Clean, compile and analyze data for producing preliminary reports on indicator progress using primarily Microsoft Access and Microsoft Excel platforms.
  • Assist in the preparation of regular reports to the client (training completion reports, and other reports including quarterly, semi-annual, annual, EOP, etc)
  • At the direction of the M&E Manager, conduct routine spot checks to ensure data has been accurately collected from stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • A post graduate degree from an HEC recognized University in the social sciences, public administration, or other field that requires the collection, input and manipulation of data (this can include statistics, economics or IT)
  • At least two years of practical experience in similar capacity managing databases (preferably databases related to trainings and participants), data analysis, preferably in the development sector
  • Experience using office software packages (Ms-Access, Excel, Power Point, etc) and advance knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages, statistics analysis experience on evaluation of data, and using Google Docs or other web-based survey platforms and experience updating data indicator in web system; 
  • Good written and verbal communication and team work
  • Prior knowledge and experience of USAID M&E requirements is an added advantage
