A new requirement for a Senior Java Developer to come and join an outsourcing software house within their Java application development and integration team based in Karachi.
This role will be instrumental in driving forward the development of solutions for customers based in the UK, using leading open source tools including Spring 3, Spring MVC, Hibernate/JPA, JBoss/tomcat etc.
- Exceptional core Java skills using at least Java 1.6, and solid knowledge of design patterns
- Excellent knowledge of Spring Framework (3 and above) and a clear understanding of dependency injection
- Good understanding of Hibernate/JPA and Object-relational mapping, including performance considerations
- Front end development experience using Velocity/HTML 5/AJAX and JQuery
- Demonstrable experience working with databases, data modelling, and SQL (any type)
- Demonstrable experience of Web Application development using MVC patterns (preferably Spring)
- Enthusiasm for test driven development using open source frameworks
- Excellent written and oral English communication skills
- Experience of leading small development team
Desirable skills include
- Experience of working in an Agile environment
- Previous experience of working on out sourced projects
- Knowledge of JIRA
- MySQL
