2D Animator

We are seeking a Junior 2D Animator who is passionate about bringing characters, stories, and creative ideas to life through engaging animation. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in animation principles and a keen eye for detail, with the ability to create smooth and expressive character movements. This role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively within a creative team, contributing to projects that require both technical skill and artistic storytelling.

Key Responsibilities
- Animate 2D characters, scenes, and assets with strong timing, spacing, and storytelling techniques.
- Create fluid character movements, poses, expressions, and transitions that enhance narrative impact.
- Work effectively with layered assets for motion graphics and 2D animation projects.
- Interpret storyboards, scripts, and creative briefs to develop engaging and coherent animations.
- Collaborate closely with designers, storyboard artists, and the production team to ensure alignment and quality.
- Incorporate feedback efficiently while maintaining high standards of animation quality and consistency.
- Ensure all animations meet project requirements, adhere to style guidelines, and are delivered within deadlines.

Required Qualifications
- Intermediate or Graduate-level qualification in animation, graphic design, or a related field.
- 1 to 1.5 years of professional experience in 2D animation or within a similar production pipeline.
- Strong understanding of animation fundamentals including timing, spacing, squash and stretch, anticipation, follow-through, and acting.
- Good grasp of character movement, poses, expressions, and storytelling principles.
- Proficiency in Adobe After Effects and/or other 2D animation software.
- Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, especially in handling layered assets.
- Basic proficiency in English, sufficient to understand scripts and respond effectively to feedback.
- A portfolio or showreel demonstrating original 2D animation work.

Additional Details
The position is based in Gulshan Block 6, with working hours from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday, offering weekends off. The salary range for this role is between 45,000 to 50,000 PKR.
