2D Draftsman ( Architectural )

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Architectural 2D Draftsman with 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in architectural and interior design projects. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in technical drafting, construction documentation, AutoCAD, and project coordination. This role involves producing accurate architectural and interior drawings, preparing construction documentation, and collaborating closely with architects, engineers, consultants, and site teams to ensure all drawings meet technical, quality, and project standards. The position is based in Bahria Town, Lahore, and requires full-time, in-person attendance.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed 2D architectural and interior drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, layouts, and construction details.
- Develop approval, submission, and construction drawings in line with project requirements and applicable regulations.
- Prepare, coordinate, and integrate MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) layouts with architectural drawings.
- Convert architectural concepts, designs, and specifications into accurate and technically detailed drawings.
- Assist in space planning, zoning, and layout development according to project needs.
- Review drawings to ensure accuracy, consistency, completeness, and compliance with project and company standards.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and site teams to identify and resolve technical and drawing-related issues.
- Incorporate design revisions and update drawings based on project changes, client requirements, and site conditions.
- Provide guidance and coordination to junior draftsmen to ensure drawings are prepared accurately and on schedule.
- Maintain organized drawing records, revision histories, project files, and technical documentation.
- Ensure all assigned drawings meet required quality standards and project timelines.

Required Qualifications

- Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Architecture from a recognized institution.
- 5 to 7 years of professional experience in architectural and interior drafting.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD with strong technical drafting skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Practical experience preparing construction drawings, architectural details, interior working drawings, and technical documentation.
- Good understanding of building codes, regulations, by-laws, and approval procedures.
- Working knowledge of MEP coordination and drafting requirements.
- Ability to accurately interpret architectural designs, plans, specifications, and technical drawings.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, capable of managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
- Excellent communication, coordination, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work effectively with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and site teams.
- Strong attention to accuracy, detail, and technical quality.
