3D Motion Graphics Designer

Obsidian Labs is seeking a talented 3D Motion Graphics Designer to join their remote team. This full-time role involves creating high-quality motion visuals that enhance product demonstrations, marketing initiatives, and internal communications. The designer will work closely with product, marketing, and engineering teams to translate complex ideas into clear, engaging visual narratives. The position requires expertise in both 3D and 2D animation, video production, and a strong understanding of brand consistency. The ideal candidate will contribute creatively to the company’s AI and software solutions, helping to elevate the visual storytelling that supports client engagement and operational success.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and animate 3D and 2D motion graphics for product demos, marketing campaigns, and internal use.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to interpret complex technical and AI concepts into compelling visual stories.
- Develop storyboards, create assets, composite scenes, and refine animations based on feedback.
- Ensure all visuals align with Obsidian Labs’ brand guidelines and maintain a consistent aesthetic.
- Manage project timelines effectively, keeping files and documentation organized.
- Contribute innovative ideas to enhance the visual impact of software and AI products.

Required Qualifications
- Strong skills in motion design and motion graphics, with hands-on experience in 3D animation workflows.
- Proficiency in video production processes, including storyboarding, editing, and asset preparation for digital platforms.
- Solid graphic design abilities, demonstrating a keen eye for composition, color theory, typography, and visual hierarchy.
- Experience using industry-standard software such as After Effects, Cinema 4D or Blender, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, and Photoshop (or their equivalents).
- Ability to clearly communicate complex technical or AI-related concepts through engaging visual storytelling.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong time management skills, with the ability to thrive in a remote, collaborative work environment.
- A portfolio showcasing relevant 3D motion graphics and video projects, preferably related to technology or digital products.
- Relevant educational background or equivalent professional experience in motion design, animation, graphic design, or a related discipline.
