This full-time, on-site position based in Islāmābād, Pakistan, seeks a skilled 3D Printing Technician. The role involves operating, monitoring, and maintaining various 3D printers, including preparing print files, loading materials, and performing calibration and routine maintenance. The technician will work closely with engineers and CAD designers to optimize print parameters, troubleshoot issues, and ensure that printed parts meet dimensional, functional, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain 3D printers such as FDM, SLA, and SLS, including setup, calibration, and routine maintenance.
- Review design files for printability and prepare models for printing using 3D printing preparation software and basic CAD tools.
- Manage print builds, oversee print runs, and perform post-processing tasks including cleaning, curing, sanding, support removal, and finishing.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to optimize print parameters and resolve technical issues.
- Conduct quality control through measurement, inspection, and documentation to ensure parts meet specifications and tolerances.
- Maintain material inventory, track usage, and manage equipment logs to support efficient workflow.
- Follow safety protocols and quality procedures to maintain a safe and compliant working environment.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance 3D printing processes and workflows.

Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with various 3D printing technologies such as FDM, SLA, and SLS, including print setup and maintenance.
- Proficiency in 3D printing preparation software and basic CAD tools for model review and preparation.
- Solid understanding of additive manufacturing materials, including polymers, resins, and powders, and their performance characteristics.
- Skilled in post-processing techniques such as part cleaning, support removal, curing, sanding, and finishing.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform precise measurement, inspection, and documentation of printed parts.
- Basic knowledge of engineering drawings, tolerances, and manufacturing concepts to ensure alignment with design requirements.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with engineers, designers, and production staff.
- Good organizational skills for managing multiple print jobs, material tracking, and equipment maintenance records.
- Commitment to workplace safety and familiarity with lab or workshop safety standards.
- Diploma or degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing technology, industrial design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
