Major Requirements:
- 5-plus years of experience in relevant role.
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communications skills and effectively collaborates with other team members and project stakeholders.
- Must demonstrate a clear understanding of the logical and physical database design (for both transactional and data warehouse) and data normalization concepts.
- Experience with at least two SQL platforms (MSSQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Sybase) and their related Client tools (SQL Developer, Toad, SSMS, SSIS, DataGrip, PgAdmin)
- Strong hands-on SQL skills, & develop database programs (Procedures, Functions, Triggers), analytical SQL functions and Knowledge of latest features in SQL.
- Working experience in database Migrations, Data Warehouse is added adv.
- Exposure to Unix/Linux Environment including UNIX shell scripting and agile software development methodology.
- Automation concepts and practical experience in Change Management.
- Experience in performance and tuning of SQLs and procedures/functions.
- Troubleshooting skills to identify and remediate SQL code issues including procedures and functions.
Major Responsibilities:
- Assist in the application development, debugging, configuration and optimization.
- Review applications and database design for compliance.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolution of transaction processing issues.
- Able to write and understand complex SQL queries, store procedures, functions, views and triggers.
- Write SQL scripts to deploy database system changes to environments.
- Source code control system for check-in and check-out
- Understand and triage maintenance related issues to the database team
- Co-ordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues in accordance with client-specific service levels.
- Responsible for the day-to-day management of the Database maintenance teams.
- Provide technical expertise to support teams in the analysis, design, and support of business applications.
- Contributes a perspective that spans the disciplines of software development, solution design, and project leadership.
- Team Oriented with ability multi task and prioritize activities so as to complete tasks and objectives independently and fully
- Solid teamwork and interpersonal skills; ability to work well on cross-functional project teams and foster team commitment to tasks.
