AI & Generative AI Specialist

Nicon Group of Colleges is seeking a highly skilled AI & Generative AI Specialist to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying intelligent systems using advanced artificial intelligence technologies. This role demands practical experience with large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and AI-driven applications. The specialist will translate complex business requirements into scalable AI solutions that can be seamlessly integrated into real-world applications, contributing to innovative projects within an academic setting.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy AI, machine learning, and generative AI solutions tailored to real-world use cases.
- Build and integrate applications utilizing large language models such as GPT-based systems.
- Implement advanced AI techniques including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), embeddings, and vector databases.
- Develop intelligent automation tools such as chatbots, virtual assistants, and AI agents.
- Work with APIs to embed AI services into web and mobile platforms.
- Optimize model performance by reducing latency and ensuring scalability in production environments.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including developers, analysts, and business stakeholders.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and generative technologies.
- Document technical processes, workflows, and system architectures clearly and comprehensively.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
- Strong programming skills, particularly in Python.
- Hands-on experience with AI frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.
- Practical knowledge of large language models, prompt engineering, and tools like LangChain or AutoGen.
- Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms, natural language processing (NLP), and deep learning concepts.
- Experience deploying AI solutions on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience working with vector databases such as Pinecone or FAISS.
- Familiarity with MLOps practices and model deployment pipelines.
- Prior experience contributing to AI-based products or SaaS platforms.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in generative AI is preferred.
- This is a part-time position offering a monthly salary range of Rs50,000 to Rs60,000.
- The preferred work location is Rawalpindi Satellite Town, with work conducted in person.
