Cashier

The Cashier is responsible for implementing proper cash handling procedures and ensuring cash reconciliation is accurate using software tools. Attention to detail, honesty, punctuality, and the capacity to work under pressure are essential characteristics for this role. The Cashier supports the financial accuracy and integrity of the hospitality business by tracking transactions, addressing guest concerns promptly, and collaborating with the broader team to maintain a seamless customer experience. Responsibilities

Operate Point Of Sale (POS) systems efficiently to process customer transactions including cash and card payments.
Manage cash handling tasks including accepting payments, providing correct change, and balancing cash drawers accurately.
Generate and issue customer bills while ensuring accuracy of pricing and applied discounts or promotions.
Maintain clear and accurate transaction records for auditing and financial reconciliation purposes.
Perform cash reconciliation at the end of shifts using cash reconciliation software and other accounting tools.
Address and resolve customer queries or concerns related to billing and payment transactions in a polite and professional manner.
Coordinate with floor staff and operations teams to ensure seamless flow of billing and payment processes.
Supervise and support a small team of two persons, providing guidance and assistance as needed to maintain service standards.
Adhere strictly to cash handling policies and procedures to minimize risk and maintain compliance.
Maintain punctuality and reliability, able to work efficiently under pressure during peak business hours.
Verify all transactions adhere to company policies and escalate any suspicious or irregular activities to management promptly.
Support inventory control and reporting by accurately recording sales and returns at the POS system.
Promote a friendly and welcoming atmosphere while maintaining professionalism at all times.
Continuously update knowledge of POS system features, updates, and accounting software to improve operational efficiency.
