We are looking for a talented Android Developer with strong skills in Java, Kotlin, and the Android SDK to join our team. The successful candidate will have practical experience using Android Studio and be proficient with version control systems like Git. This role demands a good understanding of UI/UX principles and Material Design to build user-friendly and visually appealing mobile applications. Familiarity with architectural patterns such as MVVM or MVC and modern Android components including Jetpack libraries, LiveData, and ViewModel is essential. This is a full-time, 12-month contract position based in Johar Town, Lahore, offering a competitive monthly salary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Android applications using Java and Kotlin, ensuring optimal performance and responsiveness.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
- Implement user interfaces that adhere to UI/UX best practices and Material Design guidelines.
- Manage the codebase and support collaborative development using Git version control.
- Apply architectural patterns like MVVM or MVC and integrate Android Jetpack components such as LiveData and ViewModel to improve app stability and maintainability.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications for speed and scalability.
- Keep up to date with the latest Android development trends and technologies to enhance development processes.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- 1 to 2+ years of professional experience in a product-based company environment.
- Strong proficiency in Java and Kotlin programming languages.
- Hands-on experience with Android SDK and Android Studio.
- Familiarity with Git or similar version control tools.
- Solid understanding of UI/UX design principles and Material Design standards.
- Knowledge of architectural patterns such as MVVM or MVC and experience with Android Jetpack components including LiveData and ViewModel.
