Junior Accountant

A.S Enterprises is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join its finance team. This role focuses on managing core accounting functions including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliation, general ledger oversight, and tax compliance activities. The Junior Accountant supports the company's financial operations by preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and ensuring accurate financial documentation. The position requires 1 to 3 years of experience in accounting and a solid understanding of taxation processes. Responsibilities
The Junior Accountant handles the day-to-day accounting tasks such as processing and monitoring accounts payable and receivable transactions to maintain accuracy and timeliness. They perform regular bank reconciliations and update the general ledger ensuring all financial data is recorded correctly. The accountant prepares and posts journal entries and manual journal entries as needed, supporting month-end and year-end closing activities. They assist in tax filing and prepare necessary documentation for filing tax returns, ensuring compliance with current regulations and company policies. This role also involves verifying financial information for accuracy and supporting audits by providing relevant reports and documentation.

The candidate performs consistent account reconciliations to detect and resolve discrepancies and ensures financial records meet statutory requirements. They collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial data and maintain up-to-date records. Monitoring changes in tax regulations, the Junior Accountant ensures that filings and documentation comply with the latest standards. Maintaining organized financial files and documentation supports smooth internal and external financial reviews. Accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality are vital in handling financial transactions and documentation in this position.
