This role involves overseeing the efficient management and operation of the hospital’s Operation Theatres (OT). The successful candidate will coordinate theatre scheduling, ensure equipment readiness, and supervise technical staff to maintain high standards of patient care. They will also be responsible for maintaining detailed records, supporting quality improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with infection control and safety protocols. The position requires strong leadership skills to manage staffing and respond effectively to emergencies within the OT environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage the allocation of Operation Theatres according to the approved theatre allocation schedule, ensuring optimal utilization. Monitor, supervise, and provide training to OT Technicians and CSSD Technicians in collaboration with various surgical specialties. Confirm that all equipment is fully functional and prepared before assigning the OT to users. Plan and maintain adequate staffing levels in the OT to meet patient care demands efficiently. Maintain accurate records of procedures performed, theatre time utilization, and collect feedback from end-users after each surgical list. Actively participate in clinical audits, quality improvement projects, and support accreditation processes related to OT services. Ensure that the theatres are always ready for emergency procedures and manage critical situations with professionalism and composure. Enforce strict adherence to infection prevention protocols and oversee the proper disposal of biomedical waste and sharps, complying with hospital policies and regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates should preferably hold an MBBS, BDS, BS or MS in Allied Health Sciences, BSN or MSN, MHPE, or an equivalent qualification. A minimum of 5 to 7 years of relevant professional experience is required, including at least 2 to 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role within a clinical or healthcare setting. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Urdu are essential. The role demands strong problem-solving abilities, sound decision-making skills, and effective interpersonal communication. Proficiency in MS Office applications is also necessary to manage documentation and reporting tasks efficiently.
