The Poverty Graduation of Extremely Poor and Flood-Affected Households (PGEP) is a four-year initiative jointly funded by the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) and the Government of Pakistan (GoP), with a total budget of US$134.2 million. Implemented under the Ministry of Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety (MoPASS), the project targets 25 of the poorest and flood-affected districts in Pakistan. It aligns with the Government’s development priorities under Uraan Pakistan, the IsDB Food Response Programme, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The primary focus is on reducing extreme poverty and economic vulnerability, promoting sustainable livelihoods and employment, and enhancing the resilience of vulnerable households against climate-induced shocks.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the administrative procurement of office supplies, equipment, services, and logistical needs in coordination with the Senior Manager-Procurement.
- Assist in planning and processing procurement activities in line with the approved Procurement Plan, Programme procedures, and IsDB procurement guidelines.
- Prepare and process Requests for Quotations (RFQs), bidding documents, purchase orders, contracts, comparative statements, evaluation reports, and other procurement-related documentation as required.
- Maintain procurement records, supplier databases, delivery logs, and supporting documents to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
- Monitor procurement activities and maintain a procurement tracker that reflects the status of procurement actions, contracts, deliveries, and pending issues.
- Provide administrative and logistical support to the Project Management Unit (PMU) and Project Offices (POs) for Programme activities.
- Coordinate with POs, suppliers, government departments, auditors, donors, and other stakeholders on administrative and logistical matters.
- Assist in responding to audit queries related to human resources, administration, assets, logistics, and procurement documentation.
- Ensure compliance with applicable procedures related to HR, administration, procurement, logistics, and asset management.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor to support project objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree or equivalent 16 years of education in Management Sciences or a related discipline from an HEC-recognized university.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in logistics and office management, with at least 3 years of experience in community procurement and livelihood programmes.
- Relevant experience working with international organizations and government departments.
Preferred Qualifications and Additional Information
- Certification in Human Resources and Procurement Management is considered an advantage.
