Computer hardware and Network Technician Junior Level

AStar is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Computer Hardware and Network Technician at the junior level to provide essential technical support for hardware, software, and network systems. This role requires a motivated individual with experience in operating system installation, network troubleshooting, and adeptness in resolving client desktop issues. The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining the company's technology infrastructure by delivering reliable support services, including arranging virtual meetings through video conferencing platforms. This is an entry-level position requiring at least one year of experience and does not involve managing a team, allowing the technician to focus deeply on technical tasks and skill development. In this position, the technician supports the companys end-users by diagnosing and addressing hardware and network problems efficiently. The role demands strong problem-solving abilities in software and systems troubleshooting, ensuring minimal downtime and optimized performance. The technician also assists in the setup and maintenance of communication tools, including scheduling and managing Zoom meetings to facilitate remote collaboration. The candidate will work closely with IT teams to install, configure, and support operating systems while delivering excellent customer service through effective desktop support.
Responsibilities

Install, configure, and support operating systems on desktops and laptops.
Diagnose and resolve hardware-related issues, such as computer components and peripherals.
Troubleshoot network connectivity problems to ensure stable and secure communications.
Provide desktop support to clients by addressing software, system, and network-related issues promptly.
Assist with setting up and managing virtual meetings, including Zoom conferencing arrangements.
Perform routine maintenance tasks to optimize system performance and reliability.
Document incidents, resolutions, and system updates accurately for future reference.
Collaborate with IT departments to escalate complex issues and implement technical solutions.
Maintain inventory and track hardware resources to support operational efficiency.
Monitor network devices and support the implementation of network security protocols.
Participate in training and skill development activities to stay updated with technological advancements.
