Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of 10 medical billing specialists to achieve departmental goals and maintain high performance standards.
Oversee the accurate coding of medical procedures and diagnoses using established medical coding systems.
Conduct insurance verification to confirm patient coverage and benefit eligibility prior to billing.
Ensure timely and accurate submission of medical claims to insurance companies and government payers.
Monitor and resolve claim denials, rejections, and disputes to maximize revenue recovery.
Utilize medical billing software and claims processing software to maintain precise billing records.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology, insurance policies, and healthcare regulations within the US.
Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrative staff to clarify billing issues and optimize documentation.
Analyze billing reports and perform audits to detect discrepancies and improve billing accuracy.
Implement and supervise the use of electronic health record (EHR) systems for streamlined claim management.
Train and guide team members on best practices in medical billing processes and software usage.
Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and confidentiality standards related to patient billing and data security.
