Senior Accountant

Blessed Accounting Solutions seeks an experienced Senior Accountant to lead a team of four professionals. This role requires a minimum of three years experience, including at least two years working specifically with Canadian clients. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in QuickBooks Online and advanced knowledge of Zoho Books, along with hands-on experience in bookkeeping, month-end closing, bank reconciliations, payroll management, and financial reporting. This position demands a detail-oriented individual who is highly organized and capable of managing multiple client accounts independently while delivering accurate financial results on time. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring the financial health and reporting accuracy for a diverse set of Canadian clients. Responsibilities

Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of four accounting professionals to ensure high-quality work output and professional development.
Manage bookkeeping activities including recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and maintaining organized financial records for Canadian clients.
Conduct month-end closing processes to close accounting books accurately and prepare financial statements in compliance with applicable standards.
Perform bank reconciliations to verify the accuracy of client accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Oversee payroll processes to ensure timely and accurate payroll management for client organizations.
Prepare comprehensive financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements tailored to client requirements.
Utilize QuickBooks Online and Zoho Books to maintain and streamline accounting operations and enhance reporting efficiency.
Coordinate with clients to gather necessary financial data, address inquiries, and deliver exceptional customer service through effective communication.
Ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations and financial policies for Canadian clients, staying updated on changes in financial legislation.
Manage multiple client accounts simultaneously while adhering to established deadlines and quality standards.
Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improving financial performance and internal controls.
Develop and implement accounting procedures and best practices to improve accounting workflows and accuracy.
Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments or external partners as necessary to support overall business objectives.
