COMSATS Internet Services invites qualified and experienced candidates to apply for the position of Medical Officer on a contract basis at the CIS Tele-Health Center Islamabad. In this role, the Medical Officer is responsible for examining patients using advanced computer-mounted digital diagnostic equipment such as digital stethoscopes, vital sign monitors, and ultrasound probes. The role involves providing accurate clinical assessments, advising on appropriate prescriptions, and maintaining detailed electronic health records for all patients visiting the clinics. The Medical Officer will oversee a small team of two persons, ensuring smooth operations at the Tele-Health Center and effective patient care management. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of relevant experience in clinical assessment and patient care management. They must be proficient in electronic health record management and medical documentation. The role requires strong attention to detail to maintain soft records for future patient follow-ups and continuity of care. The Medical Officer plays a pivotal role in delivering quality health services through telemedicine platforms while collaborating closely with their team to enhance patient outcomes and clinic efficiency.
Responsibilities

  • Examine patients visiting the Tele-Health Clinics using digital diagnostic tools including digital stethoscopes, vital sign monitors, and ultrasound probes.
  • Perform comprehensive clinical assessments to diagnose and evaluate patient health conditions accurately.
  • Advise and prescribe appropriate medical treatments and medications based on patient evaluation.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate medical documentation for all patient interactions, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards.
  • Manage electronic health records (EHR) to keep a digital and accessible record of patient histories and follow-ups.
  • Coordinate and supervise the activities of a team of two persons to ensure efficient clinic operations and quality patient care.
  • Ensure confidentiality and secure handling of patient information in compliance with medical ethics and legal regulations.
  • Conduct follow-up consultations remotely or in-person as necessary to monitor patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly.
  • Provide health education and guidance to patients about disease prevention, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals within the Tele-Health system to optimize patient outcomes and service delivery.
  • Identify potential health risks and escalate cases requiring urgent or specialized medical attention to appropriate channels.
  • Continuously update medical knowledge and skills concerning telemedicine technologies and clinical practice guidelines.
