Construction Manager (MECH)

MEP Solutions Pvt. Ltd., a well-established contracting firm specializing in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works and affiliated with IZHAR Construction Company Pvt Ltd, is looking for a dedicated full-time Construction Manager (Mechanical) to join its team in Karachi. This role will primarily focus on managing the MAE and Suzuki high-rise building projects. The position requires consistent on-site presence and hands-on supervision throughout all stages of construction to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and manage construction projects from initial planning through to completion, ensuring that quality standards and timelines are strictly adhered to. Conduct detailed project reviews to accurately schedule deliverables and estimate costs. Coordinate and supervise construction workers and subcontractors to maintain efficient workflow and productivity. Ensure all contractual obligations and performance conditions are met promptly.

Manage mechanical system installations, including heating, cooling, refrigeration, piping, and plumbing within the building. Work closely with architects, engineers, and other specialists to ensure alignment of project goals and technical requirements. Perform regular site visits during key phases such as bid walks, preconstruction assessments, in-progress inspections, punch list walks, and project closeouts.

Participate actively in status and coordination meetings to facilitate clear communication and address project updates. Conduct and document quality assurance and safety inspections throughout the construction process, maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring proper maintenance of tools and equipment. Maintain and update Scope of Work (SOW) and preconstruction documents, while building and sustaining strong relationships with reliable contractors and vendors to fulfill contract requirements.

Respond promptly and effectively to any work delays, emergencies, or disruptions to minimize impact on project timelines.

Required Qualifications

A minimum of 10 years’ experience managing new construction and remodeling projects is essential. Strong knowledge of construction methods, technologies, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and contracts is required. Familiarity with building code requirements and scheduling methodologies is important. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a strong focus on quality is necessary. A comprehensive understanding of construction worksite safety practices is also required.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

A Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Karachi. The company offers a competitive monthly salary ranging from Rs150,000 to Rs160,000.
