We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Consultant Clinical and Radiation Oncologist to join our team on a full-time basis. This role is pivotal in enhancing and expanding the Clinical and Radiation Oncology services within our hospital. The successful candidate will focus on site-specific specialization to advance these services effectively. The position involves a balanced combination of clinical care, administrative duties, teaching, and research activities. The appointed consultant will provide expert clinical and radiation oncology care for cancer patients and collaborate closely with established multidisciplinary, site-specialist teams to ensure comprehensive patient management.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver expert clinical and radiation oncology care to cancer patients, ensuring high standards of treatment and patient management.
- Develop and strengthen existing oncology services, with a focus on site-specific specialization to improve patient outcomes.
- Collaborate and contribute actively within multidisciplinary teams, fostering a coordinated approach to cancer care.
- Undertake administrative responsibilities related to service development, clinical governance, and quality assurance.
- Participate in teaching activities, mentoring junior staff and trainees in clinical and radiation oncology.
- Engage in research initiatives to support evidence-based practice and contribute to the advancement of oncology knowledge.
Required Qualifications
- Possession of an acceptable postgraduate qualification such as FRCR (UK) with CCST in Clinical and Radiation Oncology.
- Demonstrated relevant experience in Clinical and Radiation Oncology practice.
- Full registration with the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with patients, colleagues, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in computer skills relevant to clinical documentation and communication.
