Purchase Manager

Dekalb Trade Voice is seeking a dedicated Purchase Manager to lead and manage the procurement processes, focusing on strategic sourcing, supplier relationships, and inventory control specifically within the manufacturing sectors of Sialkot, Pakistan such as sportswear, surgical instruments, and leather goods. The Purchase Manager oversees both local and international vendor negotiations, purchase order management, and demand planning while ensuring cost-efficient procurement that maintains high quality standards. This role requires hands-on management of a team of three individuals, emphasizing cross-departmental collaboration with production, quality control, store management, and accounts to streamline procurement operations and support organizational goals. The ideal candidate holds at least a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field and brings five years of substantive experience in purchasing or store management within related manufacturing domains. The role demands robust knowledge of the Sialkot market, proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel, and strong abilities in supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, and demand planning. Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills are crucial for developing and maintaining vendor relationships and for coordinating the procurement lifecycle effectively to sustain operational efficiency and product quality standards.
Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to identify and engage with reliable local and international suppliers for raw materials, packaging, and accessories.
Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement without compromising on quality or delivery timelines.
Issue and manage Purchase Orders, monitor shipments, and maintain accurate records of deliveries and factory stock levels to optimize inventory management.
Coordinate cross-functionally with production, quality control, store management, and accounts teams to align procurement activities with manufacturing and financial requirements.
Maintain and update procurement documentation and digital ledgers using ERP systems and Microsoft Excel to ensure accurate reporting and traceability.
Evaluate and continuously monitor supplier performance and market trends to mitigate risks and adapt to changing supply chain dynamics.
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of three procurement professionals, fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring goals are met efficiently.
Plan demand forecasts in collaboration with production and sales teams to ensure optimal stock levels and prevent shortages or overstock situations.
Utilize procurement software and ERP tools to streamline purchase order processing and automate routine procurement workflows for increased efficiency.
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards throughout all procurement and supplier management activities.
