- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers and marketers, to develop and implement custom Shopify themes and functionalities that align with business goals.
- Customize and enhance Shopify themes using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and liquid template language.
- Develop and maintain Shopify apps and plugins to extend platform capabilities and meet specific business requirements.
- Optimize website performance, ensuring fast loading times and responsiveness across various devices and browsers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Shopify configuration, theme compatibility, and third-party integrations.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Shopify updates, industry trends, and best practices, and incorporate them into development projects.
- Implement SEO best practices to improve the discoverability and ranking of products on the e-commerce platform.
- Integrate third-party services and APIs, such as payment gateways, shipping providers, and analytics tools.
- Collaborate with the UX/UI team to ensure a seamless and user-friendly shopping experience.
- Test and debug code to ensure compatibility, accuracy, and optimal performance.
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members and stakeholders as needed.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and consistency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a Shopify Developer with a strong portfolio showcasing custom Shopify themes, apps, and integrations.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and liquid template language.
- Experience with responsive web design and mobile-first development.
- Familiarity with front-end libraries and frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js) is a plus.
- Knowledge of Shopify APIs and GraphQL is highly desirable.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and deployment workflows.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in an agile development environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience is required
