Accountant

Dodi Seafood is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant with at least five years of experience to join our finance team. The ideal candidate has a solid background in financial reporting, account reconciliation, budgeting, forecasting, and tax compliance, preferably with experience in the United Kingdom. This role demands a high level of accuracy and proficiency in various accounting software including QuickBooks and corporate tax software like ONESOURCE. The successful candidate will work independently without managing a team and will contribute significantly to maintaining the financial health of the company during early working hours from 5 am to 12 noon. The Accountant plays a critical role in preparing financial statements, coordinating audits, managing payroll processes, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations and legislation. This position requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to efficiently manage multiple financial tasks. The person will support Dodi Seafood in achieving financial accuracy and compliance by delivering timely and accurate financial data and reports within deadline-driven environments.
Responsibilities

Prepare and analyze accurate financial statements and reports in compliance with applicable standards.
Perform account reconciliations and transaction matching to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
Develop and manage budgeting and forecasting processes to support strategic financial planning.
Ensure company adherence to tax compliance and reporting requirements, including timely preparation and submission of tax documents.
Coordinate audit activities with external auditors, providing necessary documentation and explanations as required.
Manage payroll processing using payroll software such as ADP or QuickBooks Payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with labor regulations.
Use accounting software platforms to record, track, and analyze financial data effectively.
Monitor and update financial records related to bank reconciliation and corporate tax filings.
Stay informed about tax regulations and legislation affecting the companys financial operations to ensure ongoing compliance.
Support the finance department in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the accounting workflow.
