The Production Manager will be responsible for managing all production operations within the Soccer Manufacturing Department. This role involves overseeing the production process, coordinating all production activities and operations, ensuring quality control, and improving efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, direct, and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers’ expectations.
- Increase production, assets capacity, and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards.
- Be responsible for production output, product quality, and on-time shipping.
- Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results.
- Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus.
- Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions.
- Share a trusting relationship with the workgroup and recruit, manage, and develop plant staff.
- Commit to plant safety procedures.
- Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics, and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets.
- Stay up to date with the latest production management best practices and concepts.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of proven experience in production management within the sports manufacturing industry, specifically in soccer equipment manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing and production processes.
- Excellent leadership, organization, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to oversee and manage a large and diverse team.
- Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach.
- Thorough knowledge of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory, and stewardship processes.
- Ability to create accountability and lead by example.
- Strong team building, decision-making, and people management skills.
