In addition to technical expertise, the AI / ML Engineer will support fine-tuning workflows on platforms like AWS Bedrock or SageMaker and apply reinforcement learning with human feedback (RLHF) concepts such as preference datasets and reward modeling. The role includes managing a small team of 2 engineers, guiding the development process with a data engineering mindset to ensure efficient data collection and structuring. This position is vital for ensuring Dvxels AI systems maintain scalable, robust, and well-monitored production environments while collaborating cross-functionally to deliver cutting-edge machine learning solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy production-grade LLM applications focused on retrieval-augmented generation pipelines.
- Implement and optimize chunking strategies, embedding models, and re-ranking algorithms to enhance retrieval accuracy and relevance.
- Maintain and improve continuous improvement systems by instrumenting conversation logging, feedback capture, and evaluation pipelines.
- Lead the integration and management of vector databases like Pinecone, Weaviate, or Chroma in a production environment.
- Collaborate on fine-tuning workflows using AWS Bedrock or SageMaker, preparing training datasets to support model refinement.
- Apply RLHF techniques including construction of preference datasets and basic reward modeling to improve model behavior.
- Oversee data engineering practices that ensure data quality and structure, minimizing future data issues and enabling efficient analytics.
- Manage and mentor a small team of 2 engineers, providing technical guidance and leadership throughout project life cycles.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to align AI solutions with company goals and client needs.
- Continuously explore new technologies and methodologies to improve AI model performance and operational efficiency.
