WordPress and Shopify Web Developer

EagleStar Communication is seeking a skilled and experienced WordPress and Shopify Web Developer to join our team. This role involves developing, customizing, maintaining, and optimizing professional websites and e-commerce stores using WordPress and Shopify platforms. The ideal candidate possesses solid hands-on experience in theme development, plugin customization, responsive design, and payment gateway integration. The developer will utilize their proficiency with technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and Liquid to deliver robust, user-friendly web solutions that meet business requirements. This position requires a self-motivated professional capable of independently managing website projects from concept to deployment. The developer focuses on creating efficient, scalable, and secure websites optimized for performance and search engine visibility. Although this role does not include team management, communication and collaboration within the team are necessary to ensure successful project outcomes and ongoing website maintenance.
Responsibilities
Develop and customize WordPress websites using themes, Elementor, WooCommerce, plugins, and custom PHP solutions to meet specific client requirements.
Build and manage Shopify stores including theme customization with Shopify Liquid, configuring store settings, and extending functionality through apps and plugins.
Create responsive and mobile-friendly websites to ensure accessibility and seamless user experience across devices.
Customize and troubleshoot Shopify themes using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid templating language.
Install, configure, and maintain WordPress plugins and themes, resolving compatibility and functionality issues.
Optimize website performance, speed, security, and SEO best practices to maximize site effectiveness and user engagement.
Integrate payment gateways, APIs, OAuth authentication, OpenID Connect, and third-party services into e-commerce sites ensuring seamless transaction processing.
Identify and fix bugs, debug technical issues, and implement solutions quickly to minimize downtime.
Manage website updates, perform regular backups, and handle ongoing maintenance to ensure stable and secure online presence.
Convert design concepts and wireframes into fully functional, visually appealing websites with consistent quality standards.
Collaborate with designers, content creators, and stakeholders to deliver websites that align with business goals and provide excellent user experience.
Stay current with the latest WordPress and Shopify trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve development processes and deliverables.
