The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for producing accurate and detailed designs using various CAD software, including AutoCAD and SolidWorks, and performing simulations to validate product performance. The role includes preparing technical drawings, managing product lifecycle data, and supporting manufacturing processes by identifying potential limitations and suggesting improvements. Candidate must be adaptable to site and project conditions, ensuring technical solutions are practical and comply with project timelines.
Responsibilities
- Create detailed mechanical designs and 3D models using CAD software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Perform finite element analysis and simulations (FEA and CFD) to assess structural integrity and performance of mechanical components and systems.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including technical drawings, specifications, and project reports.
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure designs align with manufacturing limitations and client requirements.
- Support product lifecycle management activities to track design modifications and maintain version control.
- Participate in site-based project work to oversee implementation and resolve engineering challenges on location.
- Conduct design reviews and suggest improvements to enhance product quality, safety, and manufacturability.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
- Utilize simulation tools such as SolidWorks Simulation to evaluate mechanical behavior under various conditions.
- Assist in preparing project schedules and deliverables related to mechanical engineering activities.
