Assistant Manager- Oracle Developer

EFU Life Assurance Ltd. is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager- Oracle Developer to join our technology team. The ideal candidate brings at least three years of hands-on experience with Oracle Database technologies and a strong background in PL/SQL development, database performance tuning, and data modeling. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining Oracle-based applications and database systems to support business operations effectively. The candidate possesses a bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field and demonstrates the ability to write efficient and scalable code while ensuring data accuracy and security. Although this position does not involve managing a team, it requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze system needs, and implement solutions that optimize existing database performance. The Assistant Manager will play a critical role in upgrading Oracle Forms and Reports to improve user experience and operational efficiency, as well as maintaining comprehensive documentation related to development processes and system architectures.
Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain Oracle database objects including stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers using PL/SQL.
Perform database performance tuning and optimization to ensure high availability and reliability of applications.
Analyze and model data structures to support efficient data storage and retrieval in alignment with business requirements.
Develop and enhance Oracle Forms and Reports applications to facilitate seamless data transaction and reporting.
Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver robust solutions.
Conduct thorough code reviews and testing to ensure application quality, security, and compliance with industry standards.
Identify and resolve technical issues related to databases and Oracle applications promptly to minimize downtime.
Maintain clear and detailed documentation of development activities, technical designs, and standard operating procedures.
Stay up-to-date with the latest Oracle technologies and recommend improvements to enhance system performance and functionality.
Support database migration and upgrade activities to integrate new features and maintain compatibility with evolving infrastructure.
