Software Quality Assurance Engineer

As a Software Quality Assurance Engineer at ExDimension Inc, you play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products through meticulous manual testing and technical expertise. You rigorously test web applications, develop and execute detailed test cases and scenarios, and verify the functionality and reliability of software components. You collaborate closely with development teams to identify and resolve defects, support automation efforts, and contribute to continuous improvement in quality assurance processes. This role demands a strong foundation in software testing principles, a solid knowledge of APIs and databases, and an ability to work independently to cover all aspects of testing thoroughly. You bring over five years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance, specializing in manual testing with a working knowledge of automation tools and scripting basics. Your understanding of the software development lifecycle and quality assurance methodologies enables you to effectively evaluate software through functional, integration, regression, and API tests. Working in agile environments, you continuously enhance test plans and contribute to the improvement of the test automation framework to ensure comprehensive coverage and early defect detection.

Responsibilities

Perform thorough manual testing of web and mobile applications to ensure software quality and adherence to requirements.
Develop, document, and execute detailed test cases, test scenarios, and regression test suites.
Conduct functional, integration, regression, and API testing to validate software features and performance.
Identify, report, document, and track software defects until resolution, maintaining clear communication with development teams.
Collaborate closely with developers and other stakeholders to troubleshoot issues and ensure timely resolution of defects.
Support and contribute to the design and implementation of test automation initiatives to increase testing efficiency and coverage.
Maintain a strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), software testing lifecycle (STLC), and quality assurance methodologies.
Utilize API testing tools like Postman to validate the robustness and reliability of web services and backend integrations.
Perform SQL and database testing to verify data integrity and correctness of backend processes.
Continuously analyze testing processes and outcomes to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.
Ensure comprehensive test coverage by independently managing test planning and execution activities.
Work effectively in Agile development environments, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Develop basic automation scripts and support automation frameworks using tools such as Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress to enhance testing processes.
