Faras Chemical Manufacturing Company is seeking a skilled Boiler Operator with at least 5 years of experience and a C-Class Operator certification. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient and safe operation of boiler systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety standards. This role involves managing the boiler's operational activities, performing preventive maintenance, and conducting regular inspections to maintain safe and reliable operations. The Boiler Operator will oversee fuel management, temperature monitoring, pressure control systems, and water treatment to uphold system integrity and efficiency.
This position requires leading a small team of 2 individuals, providing guidance and support to maintain smooth operations. The Boiler Operator will ensure accurate record keeping and logbook management, apply chemical treatment procedures for boiler water, and troubleshoot any system issues promptly. Working closely with instrumentation and controls, the operator must adhere to strict safety compliance protocols while effectively managing steam system performance to support the company's manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor boiler systems to ensure efficient and safe performance according to company protocols.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on boilers and related equipment to prevent operational failures and extend service life.
- Manage fuel supply and combustion processes to optimize energy use and maintain desired steam pressure and temperature levels.
- Perform routine boiler inspections and pressure gauge monitoring to detect irregularities and prevent hazardous conditions.
- Implement water treatment procedures, including chemical treatment and water chemistry analysis, to prevent corrosion and scaling within the boiler system.
- Maintain accurate logbook records documenting boiler operation, maintenance activities, inspections, and any abnormalities.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure continuous plant operations.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and ensure compliance with environmental and operational safety standards.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of a team of 2 assistants, providing training and support to maintain high operational standards.
- Collaborate with instrumentation and control personnel to monitor and adjust control systems for optimal boiler operation.
- Manage steam system operations ensuring pressure control systems are functioning correctly to meet manufacturing process requirements.
- Stay current with boiler operation techniques and advancements, recommending improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
