Mechanical Project Engineer

The Mechanical Project Engineer at Haier plays a critical role in ensuring seamless operation and maintenance of mechanical equipment within the production environment. With 6 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering and a solid educational background in Mechanical Engineering (B-Tech/BSc/BE), the Mechanical Project Engineer possesses strong troubleshooting capabilities and a methodical approach to equipment management. This role also focuses on fostering continuous improvement through identifying training needs and supporting maintenance staff skill development. While this position does not include managing a team, it demands effective communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills to work collaboratively across departments and ensure smooth and safe plant operation.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment-related issues to maintain smooth and uninterrupted production operations.
- Coordinate daily maintenance activities closely with the Production Department to ensure equipment availability and reliability.
- Develop, prepare, and implement weekly and monthly preventive maintenance schedules to reduce equipment breakdowns.
- Monitor equipment performance and control breakdown incidents to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
- Identify skill gaps among maintenance staff and support their technical training and development to enhance team capabilities.
- Ensure strict compliance with ISO 9001:2015 (quality management), ISO 14001:2015 (environmental management), and ISO 45001:2018 (occupational health and safety) standards, aligning daily activities with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes and plant safety.
- Perform additional departmental tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Head of Department or immediate supervisor, contributing to overall maintenance team objectives.
