Haroon Brothers is looking for an experienced Accounts Manager to oversee our accounting and financial activities with a focus on accuracy and compliance. This role involves managing the full spectrum of accounting processes including accounts payable and receivable, financial reporting, and general ledger management for diverse farming operations such as fish farming, maize, rice, and orchards. The successful candidate will ensure the integrity and reliability of financial information while maintaining organized and up-to-date records using computerized accounting systems. Strong organizational skills and trustworthiness are essential for handling sensitive financial data.
In addition to managing daily accounting functions, this position requires leadership and supervision of a team of five staff members. The Accounts Manager will coordinate team efforts, delegate tasks effectively, and ensure timely completion of financial and inventory reporting. This role demands proactive problem-solving abilities to address discrepancies and optimize internal controls within the accounting and inventory operations. A minimum of three years experience in accounting or finance is necessary to excel in this role and contribute to the financial health and operational efficiency of Haroon Brothers.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate records of accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure timely processing of invoices and payments.
- Oversee general ledger management including reconciliation of accounts and preparation of financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
- Prepare detailed financial reports to provide insight into the companys financial position and support strategic decision-making.
- Supervise and lead a team of five accounting and inventory personnel, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure efficiency and accountability.
- Ensure computerized accounting systems are utilized effectively for tracking financial transactions and inventory management.
- Monitor payroll processing and maintain payroll records in accordance with company policies and legal regulations.
- Coordinate inventory control processes to verify stock levels, resolve discrepancies, and report on inventory status for various farming operations.
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
- Collaborate with other departments to support operational needs and deliver financial insights related to farming activities.
- Maintain compliance with statutory requirements related to accounting, tax filings, and financial audits, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Review and improve accounting procedures to increase efficiency and reduce errors within the accounting department.
- Assist in budget preparation and cost control analysis to support profit optimization across different farming verticals.
