Hillcrest Solutions (Private) Limited is seeking a dedicated Security Manager to oversee and enhance the safety and security measures at the Visa Application Centre (VAC). This role is critical to ensuring the protection of physical assets, sensitive applicant data, passports, cash, and staff. The Security Manager implements and enforces specialized security policies aligned with embassy, client, and corporate standards to mitigate risks such as fraud, theft, data breaches, and operational disruptions. With accountability for maintaining a secure, compliant, and audit-ready environment, the position requires vigilance, precision, and thoroughness in all security-related activities. The Security Manager also leads a team of 20 personnel, including contracted security guards and control room staff. This leadership role involves managing and coordinating security operations, fostering a security-conscious organizational culture, conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and ensuring compliance with local and international regulations such as GDPR and ISO standards. The manager works closely with internal departments and external authorities, such as local police, civil defense, and embassy security teams, to maintain effective communication and rapid response capabilities. This position demands a professional with strong knowledge of risk management, incident response, security compliance, and business continuity planning backed by substantial experience in high-security and regulated environments.
Responsibilities

  • Implement, maintain, and oversee physical, document, and data security controls to protect the integrity of passports, applicant information, cash, and staff while enforcing zero tolerance for security breaches.
  • Manage and supervise a team of 20 security personnel including contracted guards and control room staff, ensuring their operations comply with security policies and organizational protocols.
  • Maintain the functionality and monitoring of security infrastructure including CCTV systems, access control logs, vaults, and restricted zones to ensure continuous protection of assets.
  • Coordinate effectively with external authorities such as local police, civil defense, and embassy security teams to respond promptly to security incidents and uphold legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead investigation processes into security breaches, misconduct, and operational risks; ensure incidents are reported within 24 hours and oversee corrective actions and follow-ups to closure.
  • Conduct regular security risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify potential threats and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute a Business Continuity Plan (BCP) to handle security incidents and crisis situations, coordinating responses with management and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure continuous compliance with GDPR, data privacy laws, embassy security protocols, and internal audit standards, preparing the center for internal, external, and ISO audits.
  • Prepare and present monthly security performance reports, audit findings, and compliance documentation, providing transparency and accountability in security operations.
  • Develop and conduct regular security training, drills, and certification programs for all staff members to foster a security-first culture and raise awareness of security best practices.
  • Create, update, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to security, recommending disciplinary actions where breaches of policy occur.
  • Maintain comprehensive logs and registers documenting all security incidents, perform root cause analyses, and implement corrective measures to prevent future incidents.
  • Oversee the control and optimization of security-related expenses including costs associated with guards, surveillance systems, and access control, ensuring budget adherence.
  • Prevent financial and reputational losses by rigorously managing fraud prevention, theft deterrence, and data protection efforts within the Visa Application Centre.
  • Ensure full adherence to all corporate, embassy, and client security requirements maintaining the integrity, trustworthiness, and reputation of the organization and diplomatic mission.
  • Promote a diverse and inclusive workplace that upholds high standards of professionalism, teamwork, and effective communication within the security team and across departments.
