Driver

HLS is seeking a dependable Driver with at least five years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate ensures the safe and timely transportation of goods or passengers while maintaining adherence to all traffic laws and company regulations. This role requires a strong focus on vehicle maintenance and safety, ensuring that the assigned vehicle is in excellent operating condition at all times. The candidate must be punctual, responsible, and capable of navigating efficiently to various destinations, providing a reliable service that meets organizational and client needs. The Driver does not manage a team but works independently to fulfill daily delivery or transportation tasks. This position emphasizes strict compliance with company policies and safe driving practices. The responsibility includes planning routes to optimize time and fuel consumption while responding effectively to unexpected delays or hazards. Candidates must demonstrate thorough knowledge of vehicle operation and maintenance procedures, contributing to extending the lifespan of company vehicles and ensuring optimal performance throughout duty hours.
Responsibilities

Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently to transport goods or passengers to designated locations.
Ensure the daily inspection and routine maintenance of vehicles, including checking oil, brakes, tires, and other essential systems.
Adhere strictly to all applicable traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
Plan routes carefully to optimize fuel consumption and delivery times.
Report any vehicle malfunctions or accidents immediately to management and take appropriate preventive actions.
Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, work hours, and delivery or pickup details.
Assist with loading and unloading items when required, ensuring cargo is secured properly for transport.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding schedule changes or delivery instructions.
Demonstrate a professional and courteous attitude while interacting with clients and the public.
Stay informed of road and traffic conditions during trips to avoid delays and maintain schedule adherence.
