Head of Plant Engineering & Maintenance

The Head of Plant Engineering & Maintenance at House of Habib is responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction for plant engineering and maintenance operations, ensuring operational efficiency, equipment reliability, and adherence to quality and safety standards. The position requires a degree in Electrical or Industrial Engineering and at least 15 years of relevant experience, along with strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will have expertise in maintenance management systems, cost optimization, and continuous improvement methodologies to drive plant performance and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee a team of five engineering and maintenance professionals, setting priorities, performance objectives, and maintenance standards.
Develop and implement plant-wide maintenance strategies covering preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
Oversee root cause analysis (RCA/RCCA) of equipment failures and ensure effective corrective and preventive actions.
Manage maintenance budgets, cost optimization, spare parts planning, and contractor performance.
Ensure machinery reliability, operational efficiency, and compliance with ISO, quality, health, safety, and environmental standards.
Oversee machinery installation, commissioning, and calibration to ensure operational readiness and compliance with design specifications.
Drive effective utilization of SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) for maintenance planning, scheduling, tracking, and performance monitoring.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives through TPM, Kaizen, and 5S to enhance productivity and operational excellence.
Collaborate with production, quality, and safety leadership to align maintenance strategies with plant objectives.
Monitor maintenance KPIs, analyse performance trends, and present reports and improvement plans to senior management.
