IT Operations & Support Officer

The IT Operations & Support Officer at HRSI plays a crucial role in maintaining the companys IT environment, ensuring that all technical systems operate smoothly and efficiently. This position focuses on providing day-to-day technical support for Windows systems, Microsoft Office suite, Outlook, printers, and desktop hardware. The officer troubleshoots network connectivity issues and handles IT incidents and service requests promptly to minimize downtime. Maintaining accurate IT asset inventory and documentation such as standard operating procedures and FAQs is essential for continuous improvement and knowledge sharing. Coordination with external IT vendors for maintenance and repairs is also a key aspect of the role. This position requires managing IT infrastructure support including system implementations and assisting with data center projects. The ideal candidate holds a bachelors degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline and has between two to five years of hands-on IT support experience. Strong foundational knowledge in Windows operating systems, hardware repair, and network protocols such as TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS is necessary. The candidate must be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently, with strong problem-solving and follow-up skills to effectively resolve issues. Good communication skills in English are required, and proficiency in Chinese is considered an advantage.
Responsibilities

Provide daily technical support for Windows environments, Microsoft Office applications, Outlook email client, printers, and personal computers to ensure smooth user operations.
Identify and troubleshoot basic network and internet connectivity problems to restore services promptly.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date IT asset records, inventories, and conduct routine inspections to ensure hardware functionality and compliance.
Manage IT incidents and service requests systematically, providing timely resolutions to minimize business interruptions.
Develop, prepare, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), frequently asked questions (FAQs), and other IT-related documentation to facilitate user understanding and knowledge transfer.
Liaise and coordinate with IT vendors and third-party service providers for equipment maintenance, repairs, and technical support services.
Assist in the support and implementation of IT infrastructure projects including system deployments and upgrades within data center environments.
Monitor IT systems to detect and prevent potential issues that could affect business operations.
Ensure compliance with company IT policies and recommend improvements for operational efficiency.
Utilize troubleshooting tools and techniques for diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
Maintain a proactive approach to IT operations by anticipating technical needs and addressing challenges independently.
