IlmMind, an early-stage Australian startup, is seeking a dedicated Full-Stack Developer to join our team full time. You will have the opportunity to work directly with the founders and contribute to building, improving, and scaling AI-powered web and mobile products. This role requires a strong foundation in full-stack development, with responsibilities that span frontend, backend, APIs, databases, and mobile platforms. You will take features from concept through to production, integrating large language models (LLM) APIs and leveraging AI services as core components of our product offerings. Our current technology stack includes React, Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL/Neon, Git/GitHub, Cloudflare, DigitalOcean, and React Native/Expo. Developers at IlmMind use modern AI-assisted tools such as Claude Code to enhance development efficiency. The ideal candidate is technically sound, eager to learn, capable of working independently, and comfortable taking ownership of features in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment. Although you are not expected to have expertise in every technology we use, a strong grasp of full-stack fundamentals and an ability to learn quickly are essential.
Responsibilities

Develop and maintain scalable web and mobile applications using modern technologies including React, Next.js, TypeScript, and React Native/Expo.
Design, build, and improve RESTful APIs and backend services using Node.js and PostgreSQL/Neon.
Integrate AI-powered services and large language model APIs into products to enhance functionality and user experience.
Collaborate with founders and team members to translate product ideas into well-designed, production-ready features.
Ensure responsive web design and progressive web application standards to optimize usability across devices.
Implement continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines to streamline code release and improve software quality.
Manage version control processes efficiently using Git and GitHub, maintaining clean and organized codebases.
Participate in Agile development methodologies to plan, develop, test, and release features collaboratively and iteratively.
Monitor and optimize application performance, ensuring security and reliability in cloud environments such as Cloudflare and DigitalOcean.
Stay current with emerging technologies and development tools, especially those related to AI integration and mobile application development.
Provide technical documentation and support for application features, ensuring maintainability and knowledge sharing across the team.
Work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong ownership of assigned tasks and delivering high-quality outcomes on schedule.
