We are seeking an entry-level Internal Auditor based in Islamabad with up to two years of experience to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis. The role involves conducting financial, operational, and compliance audits to ensure the integrity and efficiency of organizational processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning and executing audits, reviewing records and internal controls, identifying potential risks, and preparing detailed audit reports. This position requires close collaboration with various departments to follow up on audit recommendations, support fraud investigations, and assist external auditors as needed. The role operates during morning shifts and offers a competitive salary range.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct comprehensive financial, operational, and compliance audits in accordance with established standards.
- Review and evaluate accounting records, internal controls, and organizational processes to identify weaknesses and areas for improvement.
- Identify and assess risks that could affect the organization’s financial and operational integrity.
- Prepare clear, concise, and accurate audit reports outlining findings, recommendations, and corrective actions.
- Follow up on audit recommendations to ensure timely implementation and resolution of identified issues.
- Support investigations related to fraud or irregularities by gathering relevant evidence and documentation.
- Assist external auditors during their audit processes by providing necessary information and facilitating access to records.
- Utilize audit software and advanced Excel skills to analyze data and improve audit efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Up to two years of experience in internal auditing or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and auditing standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis functions.
- Experience with audit management software or tools.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ethical approach to auditing.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Professional certifications such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), ACCA, or Chartered Accountant (CA) are highly desirable.
- Competitive salary range of PKR 70,000 to 80,000 per month.
