Intl Cool Point is seeking a skilled HVACR technician with at least 2 years of experience to join our team. The successful candidate will oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. This role requires hands-on expertise in system installation, ductwork fabrication, refrigerant charging, and the use of pressure gauges to ensure optimal system performance. Additionally, the HVACR technician will manage a team of 2 persons, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow and quality standards are met consistently. As an HVACR technician at Intl Cool Point, you will play a critical role in delivering reliable climate control solutions to our clients. You will be responsible for interpreting technical specifications, conducting inspections, and troubleshooting mechanical issues. The position requires a strong understanding of refrigeration principles and the ability to apply this knowledge in practical situations. Collaborating closely with your team, you will ensure that all installation and repair work complies with safety regulations and company policies, while driving continuous improvement in operational processes.
Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and company standards.
  • Fabricate and install ductwork systems to optimize airflow and system efficiency.
  • Charge refrigerants accurately based on system specifications and environmental regulations.
  • Use pressure gauges and related diagnostic tools to monitor system performance and identify issues.
  • Manage and supervise a team of 2 technicians, providing mentorship and ensuring adherence to safety practices.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize system downtime.
  • Troubleshoot system malfunctions and implement timely, effective repairs.
  • Interpret technical manuals and blueprints to plan and execute installation and repair tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes related to HVACR systems.
  • Maintain detailed records of service calls, repairs, and maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate work schedules and optimize resource allocation.
  • Train team members on new technologies, tools, and safety procedures.
  • Promote a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement within the team.
