Job Purpose:
The incumbent will be responsible to implement the social mobilization approach of programmes in line with IRP strategy to empower communities in the target areas especially women and children, so that they are more aware about their entitlements including social, economic and civil rights. The Social Mobilizer is responsible for mobilizing communities, engaging stakeholders and facilitating the implementation of skill development programs. This role ensures that right holders especially from marginalized or underserved groups, have access to skill-building opportunities that can improve their employment prospects and economic status. The Social Mobilizer will play a key role in fostering community participation, coordinating training activities, and ensuring the successful delivery of skill development programs.
Technical Level
· Implementation of project / programme activities as per business process & project documents.
· Involvement of communities through PRA / RRA tools
· Capacity building of communities.
· Social Mobilization (3 tiers), Baseline surveys, Need assessment, Community profiling.
· Support cash based interventions and income generating activities
· Monitor project activities and prepare progress reports.
· Track beneficiaries, budgets and project indicators.
· Facilitate financial inclusion activities such as savings groups and microfinance, orphan families linkages for livelihoods initiatives.
· Assist in planning and implementing livelihoods and economic inclusion projects.
· Conduct community needs assessments and market surveys.
· Conducting Campaigns and awareness walks in project target area.
· Mobilize community members, including youth, women and other vulnerable groups, to participate in skill development programs.
· Organize community meetings, workshops and awareness campaigns to highlight the benefits and importance of skill development.
· Build trust and rapport with local communities, leaders, and other stakeholders to encourage participation.
· Identify and engage potential trainees, trainers and local organizations for collaboration.
Operational Level
· Development of work plans for timely implementation
· Surveys, Data Collection & report generation
· Record management – field visits, CO meetings, beneficiary data etc.
· Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Power point, Outlook, ERP systems
· Communication, Planning & Scheduling, Time, Stress & Conflict Management, Situation handling, Leadership Skills, People & team management
