Java Engineer – Level III | AWS, Kafka, Kubernetes (Mexico Only).

Confiz LLC is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer III – Java based in Mexico, with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in application development using Java and the Spring Framework. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications utilizing Java and Spring Framework.
- Architect and implement robust REST APIs and backend services.
- Build, deploy, and manage software systems on AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Work with streaming technologies such as Kafka and support distributed system architectures.
- Deploy and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes.
- Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams and business stakeholders to deliver effective technical solutions.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in large-scale distributed systems.
- Uphold high standards for code quality, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Utilize source version control systems such as GitLab and GitHub for code management.
- Support application monitoring and observability using tools like New Relic, SCOM, or similar platforms.
- Implement security protocols and best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Prioritize and simplify complex technical challenges with a strong focus on delivering measurable results.

Required Qualifications:
- 5 to 7 years of professional experience in application development, corresponding to Engineer Level III.
- Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Framework.
- Proven experience designing and building RESTful APIs.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and deployment.
- Solid expertise in Kubernetes for container orchestration.
- Proficient in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code methodologies.
- Experience working with Kafka or similar streaming technologies.
- Familiarity with source version control tools such as GitLab or GitHub.
- Understanding of monitoring and observability tools like New Relic or SCOM.
- Knowledge of security protocols and standards applicable to software development.
- Experience managing large-scale distributed infrastructure environments.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and simplify complex problems while maintaining a results-oriented approach.
- Self-motivated with a proactive mindset and capability to work independently.
- Evidence-based decision-making and bias toward action.
