With over 2,000 employees across Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad, Contour operates as a global software powerhouse serving more than 100 countries and over 100 industry domains. This role reports directly to Juniper’s Group Deputy CFO and plays a crucial part in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing detailed monthly analyses, and managing complex financial transactions involving assets, liabilities, and profit and loss. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, business acumen, and analytical skills, alongside leadership capabilities to guide a team in fulfilling the organization’s financial and operational reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities
The Assistant Manager Finance will be responsible for reviewing and consolidating monthly and quarterly financial reports from various teams. This includes analyzing data to identify trends or discrepancies and providing actionable insights to senior management. The role demands strict adherence to the monthly closing schedule by coordinating with multiple departments and ensuring deadlines are met.
Supporting internal audits is another critical function, involving verification of financial records for accuracy and compliance with both internal policies and external regulations. The candidate will prepare audit reports and recommendations to facilitate smooth audit processes.
Maintaining and updating internal financial tools, such as the company intranet, in collaboration with IT, is essential to ensure accessibility to accurate and current financial information. The Assistant Manager will also conduct training sessions on financial tools and reports, customizing content to meet the diverse needs of different business units and communicating updates effectively.
Building strong team cohesion through regular one-on-one meetings and team discussions is expected, alongside driving continuous improvement initiatives aimed at automating financial reporting processes. Proactivity is key—identifying challenges, asking pertinent questions, proposing solutions, and escalating issues when necessary to prevent roadblocks.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must have 3-5 years of professional experience in a leadership role within finance, preferably in the software or IT sector. A strong grasp of financial operations and accounting standards is essential, with particular expertise in IFRS-15 and IFRS-16. Experience with acquisition accounting will be considered an advantage.
The role requires the ability to manage and prioritize multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, is mandatory. Candidates should hold an MBA in Accounting & Finance or be a professionally qualified accountant.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Experience with financial systems such as Great Plains and Dynamics 365 is a plus, while familiarity with BPC and One Stream is desirable.
