Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Technical Support Specialist with robust IT and technical expertise to provide first-level support to end-users. This role demands hands-on troubleshooting of hardware, software, and network issues, along with assisting in the installation, configuration, and upkeep of IT systems. The ideal candidate will excel in a dynamic environment and possess the ability to communicate technical information clearly to users with diverse technical backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities
Provide technical support via phone, email, remote access tools, or in-person to resolve hardware, software, and network-related problems efficiently. You will diagnose and fix issues involving operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux, as well as software applications and basic network connectivity challenges.

You will be responsible for installing, configuring, and troubleshooting desktop and laptop computers, printers, and other IT equipment. Supporting system security by performing software updates and managing patches is a key part of this role. Accurate documentation of incidents and service requests using the company’s ticketing system is essential to maintain service quality.

Monitoring and maintaining network infrastructure components—including routers, switches, firewalls, and Wi-Fi systems—will be part of your daily tasks. You will also support Microsoft Office 365, assist with email configuration, and manage data backup solutions. Coordination with external vendors for escalated technical issues or hardware servicing is required to ensure timely resolution.

Maintaining an up-to-date inventory of IT assets and ensuring proper documentation is critical. Additionally, you will provide training and guidance to end-users on new software or system implementations, helping them adapt smoothly to technological changes.

Required Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred, though equivalent practical experience will also be considered. Candidates should have 1 to 2 years of experience in a technical support or IT helpdesk role.

Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, Office 365, and fundamental networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP is essential. Familiarity with IT management tools like Active Directory, remote desktop applications, antivirus software, and ticketing systems is required.

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills combined with strong communication abilities are necessary to succeed in this role. The candidate must be able to prioritize tasks effectively and manage time efficiently. A customer-focused mindset with keen attention to detail is critical for delivering high-quality support.

Preferred Qualifications and Work Conditions
Preferred certifications include CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, and ITIL Foundation, though these are not mandatory.

This position may occasionally require evening or weekend work to support system upgrades or address urgent issues. Candidates should be physically capable of lifting and moving computer equipment as needed.
