Key Responsibilities
The Recovery Officer will closely monitor overdue accounts and outstanding payments from dealers, distributors, and customers. Timely follow-ups are essential, utilizing calls, emails, and personal visits to ensure dues are collected promptly. Developing and implementing effective recovery strategies to minimize outstanding receivables is a core part of the role.

Negotiation skills are crucial, as the officer will work with customers to establish repayment plans or settlements aligned with company policies. Collaboration with sales and finance teams is necessary to identify potential defaulters early and mitigate associated risks.

Maintaining accurate records of all recovery activities is mandatory, with regular updates to CRM or ERP systems. The officer will prepare periodic reports detailing collection status, defaulters, and overall recovery performance for management review.

In cases where recovery efforts require escalation, the Recovery Officer will liaise with legal teams to support legal recovery procedures. Throughout all activities, strict adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards must be maintained.

Additionally, the officer will assist in credit appraisal and approval processes by providing valuable insights into customer payment behavior and creditworthiness, helping to inform risk management decisions.

Required Qualifications
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline. A minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in recovery, credit control, or accounts receivable is required, preferably within the paint, FMCG, or banking sectors.

Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential to handle difficult customers and resolve conflicts professionally. The role demands good analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess and address recovery challenges effectively.

Familiarity with recovery laws and compliance requirements is advantageous, ensuring all recovery activities are legally compliant. Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/CRM software is necessary to manage records and reporting efficiently.

The position requires willingness to travel within the assigned territory for field recovery visits, enabling direct engagement with customers and dealers as needed.

Job Type and Compensation
This is a full-time role with a monthly salary ranging from Rs 100,000 to Rs 150,000. The position requires in-person attendance at the designated work location.
