Jr. Associate MLOps Engineer - (Python/GCP/Vertex AI)

CONSULTFIZ LATAM, a wholly owned subsidiary of Confiz LLC, is seeking an Associate MLOps Engineer based in Mexico with 1 to 3 years of professional experience in MLOps, DevOps, or related fields. This position is ideal for early-career engineers passionate about machine learning operations, cloud technologies, and building scalable systems that support model development and deployment. The role involves close collaboration with data scientists and engineering teams to streamline ML workflows and deliver impactful solutions. Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain automation tools for ML workflow orchestration and model deployment through CI/CD pipelines.
- Deploy, schedule, and manage machine learning models using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, including Vertex AI pipelines.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
- Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code primarily in Python, with familiarity in other languages like Go or Java.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to ML workflows, deployments, and production environments.
- Build and maintain reporting pipelines using tools such as BigQuery, Looker, and Tableau.
- Collaborate closely with data scientists to enhance development workflows and ensure smooth integration of ML models into production.
- Support model monitoring, scaling, and performance optimization in live systems.
- Adhere to best practices for security, compliance, and data protection within cloud and containerized environments.
- Participate actively in team meetings, standups, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment and timely delivery.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes, tools, and system reliability.

Required Qualifications

- 1 to 3 years of experience in MLOps, DevOps, or a related engineering role.
- Hands-on experience with GCP, especially Vertex AI or similar platforms like Amazon SageMaker.
- Proven experience in ML model deployment, scheduling, and monitoring in production settings.
- Strong proficiency in Python programming.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes.
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and distributed systems.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools, particularly Terraform, is advantageous.
- Experience with reporting and analytics tools such as BigQuery, Looker, Tableau, or SQL.
- Understanding of software development best practices, including unit and integration testing.
- Awareness of security best practices in cloud-based and containerized environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams including data scientists and engineers.

Preferred Qualifications and Additional Information

- Exposure to eCommerce or digital product environments is a plus.
- A passion for leveraging Generative AI tools to automate processes and improve operational efficiency is highly valued.
