Junior SQA Engineer

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Software Quality Assurance (SQA) professional to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in identifying, documenting, and tracking software defects, along with a solid understanding of various testing methodologies and tools. This role involves close collaboration with developers and project managers to ensure that system requirements are met and software quality is maintained throughout the development lifecycle. The position requires hands-on experience with both manual and automated testing within an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

Identify, record, and thoroughly document software bugs, ensuring they are tracked and resolved in a timely manner. Develop comprehensive test plans and create detailed, well-structured test cases that cover all aspects of the software applications. Conduct multiple types of testing, including functional, performance, regression, and sanity testing. Work closely with developers and project managers to clarify system requirements and ensure alignment across teams. Perform manual testing and leverage automation testing techniques to improve test coverage and efficiency. Continuously research and evaluate new testing tools, technologies, and processes to enhance testing practices. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients by providing regular progress updates and addressing issues with key stakeholders. Utilize project management tools such as Jira and Trello to track tasks and manage workflows effectively. Lead cross-functional development teams, fostering collaboration and driving projects to successful completion while maintaining high-quality standards. Apply Agile methodologies to ensure QA functions seamlessly within Agile teams.

Required Qualifications

Strong knowledge of Software Quality Assurance methodologies, tools, and processes is essential. Proven experience in creating detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases. Familiarity with the latest testing tools and strategies. Ability to perform both manual and automation testing. Experience working within Agile development environments. Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira and Trello. Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with developers, project managers, clients, and other stakeholders. Demonstrated leadership skills in managing cross-functional teams and driving projects to completion.
