Junior Web Developer

We are seeking a skilled web developer with expertise in WordPress and WooCommerce to develop, customize, and maintain responsive eCommerce and business websites. The ideal candidate will be proficient in converting designs and business requirements into fully functional, user-friendly web pages using front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality web solutions that meet client needs and enhance online presence.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, customize, and maintain responsive eCommerce and business websites primarily using WordPress and WooCommerce platforms.
- Convert design mockups and business requirements into responsive, functional web pages using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related front-end technologies.
- Customize WordPress themes, child themes, templates, plugins, page builders, and reusable components to meet project specifications.
- Utilize PHP for WordPress and WooCommerce customization, troubleshooting, integrations, and enhancing website functionality.
- Configure and customize WooCommerce features including product management, categories, shopping carts, checkout processes, shipping options, and other eCommerce functionalities.
- Implement and troubleshoot APIs, third-party integrations, payment gateways, tracking tools, plugins, and additional website functionalities.
- Optimize websites for speed, responsiveness, usability, cross-browser compatibility, and overall performance to ensure a seamless user experience.
- Identify and resolve bugs, plugin conflicts, layout inconsistencies, and technical or performance issues promptly.
- Maintain existing client websites by implementing updates, improvements, and new features as required.
- Adhere to best practices for writing clean, secure, maintainable, and high-performing code.
- Collaborate effectively with designers, UX/content teams, project managers, and other developers to manage tasks and meet project deadlines.

Required Qualifications

- Proven experience in WordPress and WooCommerce development and customization.
- Strong proficiency in front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Solid understanding of PHP and its application within WordPress and WooCommerce environments.
- Experience configuring and customizing WooCommerce features and eCommerce workflows.
- Familiarity with API integration, third-party plugins, and payment gateway implementations.
- Ability to optimize websites for performance, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Knowledge of best coding practices focused on security, maintainability, and performance.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks.
